Our day in pictures

>> Sunday, August 29, 2010

The pictures are from this past Wednesday. It was a hectic day. Sam had a lot of meltdowns, but they all had a lot of fun too. The day ended badly though because Brad, myself, and Dustin started feeling really sick.

Disappointment

Brad did not get the job.. sad face.. I was really hoping and praying that he would get that job. Now he needs to keep looking for a better job. It is so frustrating. Plus there aren't many jobs out there right now.

Update

>> Monday, August 16, 2010

Wow, I am just now getting a chance to write. Life has been pretty hectic lately.
Our trip to the beach was wonderful, and I wish we could go back! We spent our days on the beach watching our little boys jump in the waves and helping them make sand castles. Dustin didn’t like the ocean waves though. He only got his toes wet, and that was on the last day of our trip. On the first day he really freaked out and ran toward the boardwalk away from the ocean screaming “help me”. Yeah.. He was terrified of the ocean. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Brad and I have also decided that we are going to start TTC. I have some health issues, and if I don’t conceive our final child soon, we may never have another. Financially this is not the best time, but we always seem to make due. Brad also has a interview for an awesome paying job. If Brad were to snag this job, it would change our life. I’m praying he gets it.
The in-law problems are still existing. In fact they are worse than ever, and I give up. I have given Brad’s parents multiple chances at a relationship with their grandsons, and their own son. Brad has all along wanted nothing to do with his parents. I kind of forced it because I felt bad for his parents. Well, I no longer feel bad for them. In fact I see them for what and who they truly are. Brad’s father is a nasty old man, whom cares only of himself, and what suits him. Brad’s mother is a busy body who talks behind everyone’s back. Her picture should be in the dictionary under back stabber! Harsh? Yes, but I have had it! I am done being nice to those people. I was going to at least allow them to visit for birthdays and holiday’s but I have now changed my mind. The only time we will speak to them is when it is concerning Samantha and the custody which will occur once every other year around Thanksgiving.
A while back I believe I posted about Brad getting some custody of Sam. Court was on Friday, and it went well. Sam’s mom has been nice about everything, Brad’s parents -not so nice. The evil in-laws have “grandparent’s partial custody”. They were not even supposed to show up for court (it did not involve them at all). But they made sure they interfered as they usually do. But anyway.. Brad has every Tuesday, and Wednesday, then on Thursday he takes Sam home. During the summer Brad also gets one full week for vacation. Brad seemed happy about it, and we were both relieved because of how well it went.
Parker celebrated his 4th birthday last Sunday. It’s so hard to believe how fast they grow. I now have two 4 year olds, and a two and a half year old. No babies anymore… Anytime I refer to Dustin as “my baby” Dustin shakes his head and shout’s “no, I big boy now”. Ugh! Parker’s party went well though. Everyone had a great time minus Brad’s parents, especially Brad’s father. Mom and I had put up a 12’ pool that is 3 feet deep. All the kids had a blast swimming. The kids also did a piƱata, and I had goodie bags for everyone. I made Parker a toy story cake, and most of his presents were all toy story related! He had a good time.

Wisdom Teeth :o(

>> Thursday, May 27, 2010

In my 24 years of life, I have never needed any dental work. No cavities, no teeth pulled, nothing! Well recently I have been having issues with my wisdom teeth. After a really nasty infection, I finally went to a dentist. I have no insurance and have been putting this off for a while. Well, I went to this dentist thinking that they were just going to do a assessment, tell me how bad it is, and have me come back to actually pull the teeth out. Instead, they did a quick X-ray, the dentist looked in my mouth, and told me he wanted both wisdom teeth out. Then a few moments later, a nurse came in and told me they would be removing both of my wisdom teeth today. I then became very nervous, and for very good reason.
One word to describe that experience- horrible!!! I have gone threw 3 C-sections, and I would take a C-section over having my wisdom teeth pulled out. The sound alone of the teeth being ripped out of bone had me freaking out. Not to mention the feeling of someone ripping teeth out of your mouth. The dentist who did this was awesome. I would highly recommend him, but I would suggest he take down the sign in his waiting room. The wooden sign they have hanging above the receptionists desk, which says “Painless Dentist”. This guy was a great dentist and did everything to assure I was as comfortable as you could possibly be.. Not that your that comfortable while teeth are being yanked out.
Right now only 5.5 hours after having my teeth out.. I feel awful!! I am in SO much pain. I can not talk, so I figured I’d write a blog post. Thank god I have my mom here helping me with my boys. Other wise I’d be in trouble. Especially since the boys are taking advantage of mommy not being able to talk. Bradley has even been doing bad things in front of me knowing I can not yell at him, and don’t feel well enough to chase after him to put him on time out.
I will just be happy when this pain subsides. One positive note about having the pain - I can not eat and it will help me with my diet. Lol. Ugh… I am off to ice my face, and hoping the swelling goes down, and the pain stops!

>> Saturday, May 22, 2010

My kids always find a way to make me laugh. It never fails! Dustin decided to see if those darts from their toy gun would sick to his forehead! Obviously it worked lol. I love how Dustin is trying hard to look to see if they are sticking.
